We could do with some help at the following events:

Great Yorkshire Show 8-10 July 2008

We need one or more volunteers to give us general help such as looking after the stall and assisting with the tombola for some time on any of the days of the show. If you think you might be able to help please call on 01949 845189

WOMAD 24-27 July 2008

If anyone is going to WOMAD and has a tractor unit that can tow our trailer containing all the scooters to and from the event we would be very grateful. If you think you can help please call on 01949 845189

Sponsorship
Individual or company sponsorship is acknowledged on this web site with links back to your own web site, posters and advertisements to a wide and ever growing audience.

Donations and Bequests
All donations, however small, are really important to us, and go towards buying, maintaining and repairing the scooter fleet, storage and transportation costs. For details of bequeathing either items of disability equipment or financial help, please click here.

Become a Trustee
Trustees are legally responsible for the development and management of the charity. Trustees have an active interest in Fair Mobility and its aims. Meetings are held four times a year and trustees with management experience or with personal knowledge of disability issues are particularly welcome.

Become a volunteer
Fair Mobility is staffed almost entirely by volunteers. Some examples are:

Drivers
Part-time drivers to transport the scooter fleet and equipment to and from events. Standard 7.5 tonne driving licence. Some loading and unloading with the aid of both ramps, and of tail lift. No heavy lifting involved.

Event Administration Assistant
At events, dealing with customers, keeping records and accepting donations on behalf of Fair Mobility.

Stand Assistants at Events
Help with new and used sales, tombola and raffles, customer enquiries.

Manual Workers at Events
Help is needed to help set up the stand before the start of the event and to dismantle at the end.

Office Work
Any or all of the following dependant on your skills and availability: filing, typing, computing, bookkeeping, handling telephone enquiries.

Scooter Repair and Maintenance
Routine work is carried out at our depot in Bottesford, Nottinghamshire. Emergency repairs, eg: punctures, battery changes, are occasionally undertaken at events.

All out-of-pocket expenses are paid.
